Owed money by Bathla?Speak with Paul.

For Bathla Group subcontractors and suppliers.

Unpaid invoices, progress claims or retentions? Speak with Paul Blahut from Sentinel about what the missing payment means for your business and what needs attention next.

Ask for Paul. This number reaches his Sentinel office. You don’t need all your records ready to start.

Business Owed Money connects this enquiry to Paul from Sentinel. We are independent of Bathla and Teneo. Calling does not lodge a creditor claim.

The invoice is unpaid.
Your commitments continue.

There is the money you are owed, and the effect that missing payment has on the business you still need to run.

  • Wages and supplier accounts coming due
  • Cash tied up in completed work or materials
  • Tax, finance or other commitments to discuss

You can discuss those pressures while the creditor process continues. Start with the issue that concerns you most.

Call 08 9325 1441 and ask for Paul.

What can you talk through?

The starting point is a conversation about your unpaid account and your own business. You can explain what you know and discuss whether further help is relevant.

  1. 01

    What remains unpaid

The Bathla company or project, the work or goods supplied, and a rough idea of the amount outstanding.

  2. 02

    What it affects

Upcoming commitments, pressure on cash flow and any notice or deadline you need to raise.

  3. 03

    Whether you need more help

Discuss whether Sentinel’s business improvement, finance or restructuring services may be relevant. You decide whether to proceed.

No perfect preparation required. An approximate amount and your main question are enough to begin. Any further work, scope and fees would be agreed separately.

Advice starts with understanding your business.

About your call

Who will I be speaking with?

Ask for Paul Blahut, Managing Partner at Sentinel Corporate Advisory. The number reaches Sentinel’s office, rather than Paul’s direct mobile. If he is unavailable, ask the office how to arrange a conversation with him.

Is there a charge for the first conversation?

The initial conversation is free, with no obligation to engage a service. Sentinel also offers a free initial meeting to discuss your business situation. Ask Paul about the next step that suits your enquiry. Normal telephone charges may apply; any further professional work and fees would be separately agreed.

What should I have ready?

If you have them to hand, the company name on your contract, an approximate unpaid amount and your main concern can help. You do not need a complete file or to send documents before starting a conversation. Establish how your information will be handled before sharing sensitive details.

Will calling lodge my claim or recover my money?

No. Business Owed Money connects this enquiry to Paul from Sentinel. Neither is Bathla’s administrator or affiliated with Bathla or Teneo. Use the administrator’s current instructions for formal claims. Calling does not lodge a claim, change a deadline or guarantee a recovery, payment amount or timeframe.

Specific concerns, if they apply to you

What if I have signed a personal guarantee?

A personal guarantee can make you personally responsible for a company debt. Its effect depends on the guarantee, any security and the circumstances. An unpaid Bathla invoice alone does not establish your personal liability. Have the actual documents reviewed rather than assuming the outcome.

What if I have received a director penalty notice?

A director penalty notice, or DPN, is an ATO notice concerning director penalties for certain unpaid company tax obligations. It is separate from your claim against Bathla. Seek prompt advice from a qualified tax or legal adviser and have the notice available. Do not wait for a Bathla payment outcome or assume a call changes a deadline.

I’m worried about my home. Where should I start?

Identify any personal guarantee or security you have given and the documents behind your concern. We cannot assess your home’s position from an unpaid invoice or promise to protect it. Explain what is worrying you, then obtain individual advice about the relevant documents and circumstances.

Start with your main concern.
